Finding The Top Toys for Christmas 2015

When it comes to the Top Christmas Toys that doesn’t necessarily mean the latest toys to hit the shops although some parents might say their kids would disagree!

For me the best Christmas Toys are those which the kids will still be playing with, learning from and enjoying once Christmas is over. That’s why I have pulled together a selection of what I consider to be some of the best toys for kids of all ages!

When it comes to Christmas shopping it becomes a time of both stress and excitement all rolled up into one. Not only are you trying to find the perfect presents but you want to get the best value for money.

Whilst nobody wants to be paying off their Christmas debts well into the New Year they don't want disappointed kids either.

To help you through the shopping maze we have pulled together some of the Top Christmas Toys that will be still be being enjoyed many months after Christmas is over.

Top Classic Toys for Christmas

If I could make one personal recommendation this year for buying Children's Toys it would be let's get back to the basics of play time with Classic Children's Toys.

Do you remember the days when toys weren't limited to a screen of some sort (hand held, tablet, TV, etc.) and didn't require motion detection sensors to be considered cool?

This was around the same time when "Wii" was mostly known as a phrase a kid would say when they're having fun on the swings and toy features didn't include thousands of apps, WiFi connectivity and iPhone compatibility. As long as they were fun, safe, and durable they were awesome.

If like me you miss those days and think it's about time we brought back the heyday of classic children toys. Then this Christmas make it so!

There are so many great toys out there that can't seem to get out from the shadows of advanced technology and sophisticated computers, which is a shame for this generation of kids who may never know the simple joy of playing with building blocks or jump ropes.

Take a look at some of the Classic Children's Toys below that have made children elated for generations and there's no reason why they should stop doing so just because "iToys" have taken over the market.

Radio Flyer 12 in. Classic Red Tricycle

It should almost be considered a crime to grow up not ever having ridden a red dual deck tricycle.

This popular award winning toy is almost a century old and has obviously withstood the test of time and technology.

There's just so much to love about it from the chrome bell to the double deck rear step and the ever so iconic handle tassels. One the best features of this toy is that it doesn't require any batteries or tech support.

Doctor's BAG Classic Children's Pretend Play Toy

Sadly, creative play and pretending is a dwindling practice when it comes to children and play time.

After all, there's no need to pretend anymore when you can "virtually" become a dancer, a rock star or a chef (this of course is in reference to Wii).

But there's nothing like putting on a costume, dress up clothes and playing with pretend accessories that brings the whole experience to a more realistic and tangible level.

Playing doctor, school or cowboys and Indians will forever be a lost art if we don't start incorporating more pretend play with toys like this.

Don't underestimate a tin cylinder, reflective mirrors and a bunch of little shapes. With just a couple of twist of the cylinder and a light source you can discover a world of explosive colorful masterpieces. It's a toy that features both simplicity and amazement.

Candy Land - The World of Sweets Board Game

Board games are so much fun and they also help develop social skills, problem solving, critical thinking and communication in children, something kids these days lack a lot of.

One popular board game that seems to bring back fond childhood memories for grownups would have to be Candy Land. It's delightfully fun and deliciously entertaining for the entire family.

Indoor Play Tents - Long Lasting Top Christmas Toys

Indoor play tents are fun, functional and a great way to relive and replay your children's favorite activities. They often resemble smaller versions of the actual tents you would see at campgrounds.

Now your children can go on camping trips whenever they want, regardless of the weather outside. Throw in some spooky stories by flashlight, hot cocoa and homemade treats into the mix and they're camping experience is complete.

With shock corded poles, you can set up play tents in just a few minutes. Some older children are even able to set them up by themselves, but it's always good to have adult supervision during the set up.

You never know what a child's imagination can lead them to do with 10 feet poles. Gigantic sword fight anyone?

The play tents are made from durable poly-cotton and nylon materials. The bottoms are sometimes fashioned from polyethylene to keep spills and dirt off of the carpets and floors as well as for easy clean up and drying.

Different Types of Indoor Play Tents

They come in so many different colors, that you can choose one to coordinate the décor or theme of your child's room. In addition to the traditional tent design, they can also resemble castles, cars, fortresses, houses, and geometric shapes.

With large circular cutouts and breathable mesh fabric, they are safe for children of any age and makes parent supervision easier during playtime. You also have the option of attaching tunnels to your child's play tents. This is also another function that the circular cutouts provide.

If you have more than one tent, connect them to make one big continuous tent with the tunnels. Your children will surely have hours upon hours of creative and fun play. Other types of indoor tents come with plastic balls, turning your tent into an amusing ball pit. It's really amazing how many different activities can derive from just one indoor play tent. Now multiply that by two and your children will have twice the fun!

You can purchase play tents anywhere children's toys are sold. They're very affordable and come in so many variations. For the best deals and more selections, shop online. There you can easily compare products and prices, as well as read reviews from other parents.

This will give you a better idea of the kind of indoor play tent is right for you and your children. They make great gifts for birthday and special holidays. Any child would be over the moon about receiving an awesome play tent.

Indoor play tents are safe and fun for children. They are versatile, functional and encourage imagination and creativity from children. Don't wait any longer and get your child a play tent today. There's absolutely no reason not to.

Zoobles Petagonia Gift Pack

Zoobles Gift Pack Top Christmas Toy for 2015

You've never heard of a Zooble before? Prepare to be amazed. These cute little toys initially lure you in with their tony, compact appearance but will soon surprise you as they pop open - at random!

Believed to live on the Isle of Zooble, Zoobles and their Happitat companions are considered relatives of the infamous Baukgan toys created for boys. Baukgans are, of course, combat oriented, but the Zoobles are peaceful creatures. They remain curled up in a ball, usually inside of their protective Happitat friends, until they're wanted or needed and often surprise their owners by opening up and rolling around. You can also force your Zooble to open up by rolling her over a small magnetic strip.

There are two different Zooble gift packs, each with Zoobles and Happitats with different colors and designs. Each gift pack contains 5 different Zoobles, 1 Single Happitat, 2 Double Happitats, and a durable vinyl storage bag.

Zoobles can be purchased individually and the Zoobles company has also designed a few play places, like the Treehouse Playset or the Undersea Playset, where your children use their imaginations to create Zooble stories of their own.

Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for the Zoobles Rest Nest, too. At the end of a long day of play it'll be nice to know all of your Zoobles are resting in one safe place - and that you are free from random Zooble surprises!

Moon Dough Magic Barnyard - One of Our Top Christmas Toys

Moon Dough is one of the newest and most creative lines of moldable clay. The Moon Dough Magic Barnyard is amongst several creative and engaging play sets designed to entertain and excite young minds.

The barnyard sets the stage but there's one problem - there are no animals, fenced yards to keep them in, or hay bales to feed them with. Your children will have to use their Moon Dough to build each piece of the farm, from the fence posts on up.

The barn itself serves as the workshop. There are several different work stations, each allowing you to mold realistically detailed fence pieces, hay bales, and a series of four different animals. What farm could possibly be complete without chickens, pigs, sheep, and cows?

The Moon Dough Magic Barnyard comes with a playmat on which you can build your farmyard (keeping the dough off of the rug or table), and comes with three bags of colored Moon Dough. Moon Dough differs from similar moldable clay varieties in that it is crumbly instead of sticky. Your child will have to learn how to pack the dough together while pushing it in to the barnyard house to create play pieces.

Aside from the difference in texture causing some confusion, most parents reviewing the Moon Dough Magic Barnyard found it to be fun and entertaining. This particular toy is recommended for ages 3-8 but is geared more towards the older crowd. Children who like Moon Dough might also enjoy the Moon Dough Diner and the Moon Dough Puppies set.
